If you’ve watched the Today Show for a while, you’ve probably seen nutritionist Sharon Richter. Sharon is a Registered Dietitian in New York. She’s appeared on the Today Show, Queer Eye, CNN, WPIX Channel 11 News, Healthination, Neutrogena’s web cast and The Good Life Show with Jesse Dylan. She’s also contributed to many publications including: Health, Shape, Fitness, OK, Men’s Vogue, Seventeen, Runner’s World and The NY Post.
How does she find the energy to do all this stuff? EBOOST, of course!
Here’s Sharon on July 4th’s Today Show talking about healthy ways to boost your energy without extra sugar and calories.
We all know that EBOOST is chock full of essential vitamins and minerals. However, some people think that a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables is all a body needs. Don’t get me wrong–we’re not knocking fruits and veggies. EBOOST fans are some of the healthiest folks around. But have you ever wondered exactly how many servings you’d need to eat in order to match the nutrition in a single serving of EBOOST? We did, so we asked Dr Sharon Richter to put together a comparison for some of the major EBOOST ingredients.
In case you don’t have the patience to read the fine print, here’s a summary. You can drink one glass of EBOOST, or you can eat 50g potatoes, 26 cups brussels sprouts, 7 cups bok choy, 3.8 cups papaya, 10 ears of corn, 67 cups celery, 4.2 cups of blackberries and 1.2 bananas. Unless you’re living in a zoo, we think the choice is clear. (Disclaimer: EBOOST not recommended for gorillas, elephants and other animals. Only party animals need apply.)
It’s that time again. The holidays are coming and you’re wracking your brain trying to think what to buy everyone. No matter how prepared you are, there are always one or two people on your list who are impossible to buy for. Either they have everything or they don’t like anything. Well, put down those gift certificates: EBOOST is the answer!
What do you get Jim, the hypochondriac who carries hand-sanitizer everywhere and won’t give hugs in case you’re contagious? EBOOST to build his immune system and help ward off those nasty germs. (And maybe a hug, just to watch him squirm.)
How about Sharon, the teenager who comes to stay but won’t get out of bed before noon? Take her a morning EBOOST and she’ll be up and buzzing in no time. (We can’t promise she’ll do any chores, though.)
And then there’s Brian, the brother who spends all day on the couch while you vacuum around him. Give him an EBOOST and a football and send him out to play with your kids. They’ll be exhausted long before he is and you might even get to sleep in the next morning.
In face, there are many people who can benefit from a BOOST now and then. We recommend EBOOST for:
Jetsetters
Fitness buffs
Bartenders
Moms
Lawyers
Sailors
Party animals
Bikers
Systems analysts
Students
Professional athletes
Nurses
Airplaine pilots
Drummers
Doctors
Supermodels
Pirates
Railroad tycoons
Graphic designers
Security guards

Fall is approaching and with it come all the wonderful sights and smells of the season: leaves changing color, a nip in the air, the smell of wood burning in fireplaces, the line of coughing, sneezing people at the doctor’s office… Wait. Run that last one by me again?
If there’s one feature of this season that none of us look forward to it’s the endless round of colds and flu. Around this time every year, newspapers and magazines are full of articles about ways to boost your immune system and ward off illness. Here are some of the most proven tips:
Get enough sleep
Sleep has been linked to balanced hormone levels, weight maintenance, focus, mood and healthy skin.
Wash your hands
Wash for 15-20 seconds before eating or preparing food, and after coughing or sneezing, going to the bathroom, or touching surfaces in highly populated areas. Make sure you use warm water and soap.
Exercise
Physical activity stimulates the body’s production of T-cells, a kind of white blood cell that guards against infection. Working out for around 30 minutes on most days should give your immune system a boost. As an added benefit, you’ll lose weight, increase your energy level and clear your skin.
Reduce stress
Your body’s response to stress is to secrete more cortisol. Over time, this can lead to all kinds of health problems, including lowered immunity.
Eat less refined sugar
A single 12-oz can of regular soda contains about 100 grams of sugar. That’s enough to reduce the ability of white blood cells to kill germs by 40% for up to 5 hours! (EBOOST contains no refined sugar.)
Take herbs and supplements Enter EBOOST!
In addition to being a superb energy booster, EBOOST contains many vitamins and herbs that play an important role in getting your immune system ready to face the seasonal onslaught. Let’s take a look, shall we? That’s a rhetorical question. I’m the writer, so we’re GOING to look.
Vitamin C Enhances the body’s resistance to many different diseases. Strengthens the immune system by stimulating the activity of antibodies and immune system cells.
Niacin Speeds the metabolism, causing increased tolerance to the cold.
Vitamin B6 Helps maintain the health of the thymus, spleen and lymph nodes. Increases antibody production and increases immune response.
Folate (folic acid) Increases T-cell production and mitogen response (cell division to increase the immune response).
Zinc Aids in the development and activation of T-lymphocytes. Zinc deficiency is associated with increased susceptibility to pneumonia and other infections.
Selenium Helps the production of antioxidant enzymes. Deficiencey contributes to autoimmune diseases by making the body more susceptible to stress and disease.
Green tea leaf extract Rich in antioxidants called catechins. When Canadian researchers added green tea to lab samples of the adenovirus (one of many that causes colds), the virus’ ability to replicate was severely inhibited. Likewise, researchers in South Korea found that green tea can stop the influenza virus from replicating.
Astragalus Used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Helps protect the body against physical, mental and emotional stress. Prevents colds and upper respiratory infections.
So there you have it: regular doses of EBOOST will turn your immune system into a virus-fighting machine! But don’t take our word for it: try some yourself and leave the doctor’s waiting room to those other poor non-boosted folks.
This dissolvable blend is chockablock with energy-boosting vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, green-tea extract and zinc. You’ll have only traffic to blame for slowing you down.
Registered dietician Sharon Richter recommends replacing your orange juice with EBOOST, which is still high in Vitamin C but without all the calories and added sugar.

It’s not easy to keep underfed women healthy while they toil through sittings and strut endless runways, all at the height of cold-and-flu season. “Everyone gets sick during Fashion Week,” says 1 Models president Scott Lipps, whose agency reps Angela Lindvall and Helena Christensen. Enter John McDonald, the restaurateur behind Lever House and Lure Fishbar, who’s now in the haute anti-sniffles business, too. He says he has spent the past two years developing E Boost, a slickly packaged powdered drink that contains vitamins B-12 and C, magnesium, zinc, potassium, and amino acids. How’d he get the right mix? “It was hilarious,” says McDonald. “I would get white packets from the lab every day and pop them in water. We would see how many particles floated. We thought of adding ginseng, but it clumped.” The product has been available for only two weeks, but he’s distributed it via model agencies and at Grammy events; soon, it’ll be aboard NetJets time-share planes and at W hotels. You know, the kinds of places where you simply couldn’t pop a comparatively unchic Emergen-C.
