Have you or someone you know been touched by breast cancer? If so, EBOOST and Blisstree understand the long journey and challenges ahead. That’s why for every box of pink lemonade that EBOOST sells, they will donate a full $10 of the proceeds to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Together, we can give hope to millions of women and their families – and help wipe out this dreadful disease once and for all.

The EBOOST Healthy Energy Drink contains a special blend of vitamins and minerals that activate the four vital elements of performance: ENERGY, IMMUNITY, RECOVERY, and FOCUS, delivering sustained energy that lasts.

EBOOST is teaming up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to raise money for breast cancer awareness with an exclusive offer for Blisstree readers. A box of 20 EBOOST pink lemonade packets normally cost $28, but EBOOST is offering it to Blisstree readers at a 25% discount – that’s just $21 a box! And the best part? EBOOST will donate $10 of that amount to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Just use coupon code “25offkomen” at checkout. EBOOST at TOMS One Day Without Shoes

April 26, 2010

TOMS SHoes EBOOST A lot of you have probably heard of TOMS Shoes, the company that gives one pair of shoes away for every pair they sell. If you haven’t, check out their website (www.toms.com). They’re a great company and we’re happy to be involved whenever they have an event to promote their cause.

On April 8th, TOMS celebrates One Day Without Shoes. In cities all over the world people go without shoes for an hour or a day to show support for kids who don’t have any shoes. And let me tell you, it gives you a healthy respect for the hardships faced by the lack of such a simple thing. In case you’re thinking that shoes aren’t that important, here are some of the difficulties faced by kids who don’t have them:

  • Children develop cuts and sores from unsafe roads and contaminated soil. These cuts become infected and can lead to life-threatening diseases.
  • Walking is often the primary mode of transportation, and a pair of shoes allows a child to walk much further distances for food, water, shelter and medical help.
  • Shoes are often a required part of school uniform in developing countries, and owning a pair of shoes can mean the difference between receiving an education and being condemned to a lifetime of poverty.
  • The leading cause of disease in developing countries is soil-transmitted parasites which enter the body through pores or sores on the soles of the feet.
  • An estimated 740 million people are infected with hookworms, which enter the body through the skin when people walk barefoot.
  • Millions of people are at risk for podoconiosis, which is caused by walking barefoot in volcanic soil. Fine silica enters the lymphatic system through the pores on a person’s feet, and causes feet and legs to swell to gigantic proportions. Sufferers experience pain and loss of function, and are often ostracized because of their deformities. And the disease is completely preventable, just by wearing shoes.

On April 8th this year, EBOOST staff were proud to join TOMS for their one-mile barefoot march in Venice, CA, where both TOMS and EBOOST are located. Of course, we took our little packets of powdered goodness with us and gave them away to other walkers. Check out the photos:

EBOOST Athlete: Jonathon Prince

December 22, 2009

EBOOST Jonathon PrinceJonathon Prince always loved to run. As a sophomore at Cheyenne High School in Las Vegas, NV, he broke the school mile record with a time of 5:35, a feat never before achieved by a sophomore. College life at Clark-Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA put a temporary stop to his running habit, but he resumed in 2003, getting up at 5:30am five days a week to pound the streets.

In August 2005 while running through his Studio City, CA neighborhood, Jonathon decided to try and do something to help the victims of the recent Hurricane Katrina. He organized the first Run 4 Relief, a cross-country run starting in Studio City and ending in Atlanta, GA. Despite his father’s warnings that the attempt was foolish and bound to fail, Jonathon persevered and in February 2006, he finished his run with four police cars and the Clark-Atlanta University track team escorting him to a homecoming celebration.

With the success of Run 4 Relief, Jonathon found his life’s purpose. In July 2006, he began Run 4 Relief II, running from Atlanta, GA to New York to promote awareness of the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. In total, Jonathon raised $125,000 for Katrina relief efforts.

Now, Jonathon’s at it again. This time, his Hope or Die! run started in California in October 2009 and will end in Washington, DC in March 2010. Instead of running straight across America, Jonathon plans to run from community to community, helping where help is needed and inspiring others to do likewise. Along the way, he’ll be raising money for six charities:

EBOOST is proud to provide Jonathon with the energy, hydration and recovery to help him on his run. If you want to do YOUR part to help Jonathon raise money, go to his website at www.hopeordie.org and click on “Contribute.” Tweet about it, tell your friends and post about it on facebook. Every little helps.

More Information

Read more about Jonathon on his blog, facebook page, twitter or youtube channel. Or read the articles written about him by CNN and Nike.

Wave Magazine EBOOST

The Power of Pink

More pink power, this time in the form of a fizzy tablet. The folks at EBOOST have received tons of attention with their ultrahip daily vitamin supplement, thanks in part to celebrity fans such as Heidi Klum. An effervescent tablet, EBOOST is simply dropped into a glass of water, creating a healthy tonic packed with ingredients that help to boost energy, focus, recovery and immunity (think green tea extracts, vitamin B-12, zinc and many more action-packedvitamins and minerals to make you feel good). The original orange flavored EBOOST was a huge hit, and the company has now partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to launch a signature pink lemonade flavor in order to benefit breast cancer research.
